We don’t often realise we have a poor relationship with giving and receiving until we’re irreparably upset with the people or situations around us.

We’re told, nice people give, are supportive, and don’t have to receive anything in return. Yet, why do we feel this sinking feeling of tiredness when people around us don’t see us and our contributions?

When my grandma passed away, I heard so many stories of how much of a giver and receiver she was, it made me realised loving well wasn't just about giving. It goes both ways. Receiving well meant she could give so much more.

It made me question who I was if I didn’t give, and how could I slowly learn to receive. It’s been 4 years since she passed, and I’ve learnt to receive better (still a process!)

But it’s not just about receiving.
